The 1840s Carrollton Inn, next door to the historic Carroll Mansion, celebrates the life of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the longest lived and only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence.

This group was headed by Dr. William Stevenson Baer, a pioneering orthopedic surgeon at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Dr. Frederick Baetjer, Maryland's first radiologist. Their unique skills and reputations brought many athletes, celebrities and Baltimoreans to these premises. They included John F. Kennedy, Wallace Beery(movie actor), Mickey Mantle and Flo Ziegfeld.
