Taking eleven years to restore to its original antebellum splendor ,the Confederate House is one of Savannah best examples of Greek revival architecture. No detail was left out of the restoration, from importing crystal chandeliers, mahogany doors, and marble floors. It is like stepping back to the day it was built in 1854.

The Guest rooms are tastefully and uniquely furnished with period furnishings as well as modern amenities and private bath. The East Liberty Inn is a lovely bedroom guest suite located in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, just between Colonial Park Cemetery and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

This large private guest quarters is on the garden level of a beautiful historic home which was built in 1869. With a choice location, this spacious 1,600 square foot guest suite sleeps up to six.

The Outdoor Inn is a European style accommodation with shared access to the great room and porch, dining areas and main floor bath rooms. If a private bath is required, the upstairs Suite has both private bath and a private balcony. Unlike a hotel, we encourage our guests to interact in common living quarters, while retiring to private rooms for sleeping or alone time. The entire inn is available for weddings, receptions, events, meetings and retreats.

The view from the large screened porch of the Outdoor Inn looks south across miles of salt marsh and winding creeks. It's a great place to sit in the evenings and watch the egrets and herons that frequent the creek.
Indoors, guests can relax in the comfortable great room, enjoying the book selections or studying the many charts available. All guests have access to the fully equipped kitchen. The main floor has three private rooms. The top floor is a family suite that includes a private hot-tub bath, two rooms (one very large and one very small), and a private balcony with sweeping views of the marsh. Two outdoor showers with hot and cold water are available to all for after boating or a day at the beach.

The Inn is a ten minute walk from Tybee's North Beach or a 15 minute bike ride to anywhere else on the island, including the pier on the South Beach at the Strand. We're just far enough away from the center of things to find peace and quiet, when that's what you need. The Outdoor Inn is located next door to Sea Kayak Georgia, one of the Country's premier sea kayaking schools where kayaks, gear, lessons, guides, and logistical support are available. We are across the street from Georges', one of Tybee's three 4/5 star restaurants.
