While situated just one block from the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Quite The Stir is also near the Gettysburg College. Aside from the Innkeeper, Quite The Stir offers our guests the rare experience of being the sole guests during your stay at our Bed and Breakfast Bungalow. During your stay at Quite The Stir, your party will enjoy the historical treasures, relaxation, amenities, privacy and "exclusive splendor" this Bed and Breakfast holds.

From light morning fare, such as bagels, croissants, cereal and yogurt from the kitchen, Quite The Stir offers a truly delectable Continental Breakfast by pre-arrangement with the Innkeeper at an added extra cost. A tapestry of menus are available for our guests to select from. These Continental Breakfasts are served reminiscent of the true style of genteel elegance and hospitality to "gung ho attitude" spun from moments of time in the 1940's.

CANCELLATIONS- Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival will be responsible for entire booked stay.

ARRIVAL TIMES-are between 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Of course, Quite The Stir realizes that not every road trip is without an element of the unexpected, therefore, late arrivals after 8:00 p.m. are expected and accommodated by arrangement.

DEPARTURE TIME: Departure time is by 11:00 a.m.. However, if you are having the best day yet of your vacation, and desire another few days stay at Quite The Stir (and if accommodation is available) we'll gladly try our best to accommodate your stay.

Quite The Stir is exclusive lodging for our registered guests only. Should you desire to host an intimate event or a larger party while enjoying your stay at Quite The Stir, please contact the Innkeeper.

It is always best to make reservations in advance, but short notice and walk-in guests are welcome. Quite The Stir is smoke free. Unfortunately, we do not have provisions for pets. Please inquire regarding our limited accommodations for children.

Dining Room - Our gracious and elegant dining room is yet another enchantment you will find at Quite The Stir. The rose colored walls reflect the glow of yesteryear. Bon Appétit.

Kitchen - If the original woodwork, and doors (featuring original transoms) don't have you singing a melody from the big band era, step right into the kitchen! The steel porcelain sink and wooden cabinets from here to the sky will transport one into the era of WWII and the jumpin beats of the big bands.

Parlor - The "parlor" shown here, glowing in the warmth of art deco lamps comes complete with high definition television. If reading is more your style, our bookshelves are filled with antique books for your enjoyment.

Study - While you are ensconced in the WWII era at Quite The Stir, it may be that you'll still need to keep in touch with the 21st century! Our study offers high speed internet to do just that!

Bathroom - Step into our original retro bathroom, complete with Swarovski chandelier, pedestal sink and black and white tile flooring. Our bath is supplied with thickly luxurious and plush bath towels. Especially selected toiletries for Quite The Stir are available, (hypo-allergenic available upon request) at your finger tips! Try a delicious bubble bath to ease into after a day touring the battlefield, museum and other local sites.

Porches and Grounds - Nighttime may very well find you relaxing on our front or rear screened porch sipping a cool lemonade or refreshing brewed iced tea on a warm summer evening. Watch fireworks light the evening sky or perhaps listen to the distant rumble of cannons during a local re-enactment. A bit of relaxation with a leisurely yard game of croquet may be "just what the doctor ordered". Perhaps a stroll through our compact town yard of hydrangeas, lilacs, delicate herbs and our tribute to the 40's Victory Garden will be a delight to the senses.
