The decor is of a relaxing lilac and pale green and a view which overlooks the wooded land where deer are often seen and beautiful, colourful birds of all seasons perch in nearby trees. The room is very comfortable and peaceful. For the winter treat The Garden Room has a fireplace to enjoy those cooler evenings. The private bathroom has a whirlpool tub for two people to massage away the aches and dust of your journey, as well as a separate shower and dual vanities. We encourage you to rest and....... enjoy!

"We have some local history of the area in which we are situated. Deltaville, once the ""Boat-building capital of the Chesapeake Bay"" now finds itself in transition and has become a busy recreational boating destination. Although ""busy"", it is still a well kept secret! The town was given it's name in 1909 because the land on which it is located, between the Rappahannock and Piankatank rivers is roughly delta shaped. There is history here dating from the Civil War with many historic landmarks to explore. As a destination for fishing and boating it is one of the best, with easy access to the Rappahannock and Piankatank rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Deltaville and its surrounding countryside has miles of leafy, traffic free lanes to explore and numerous, excellent eating houses to whet your appetite. We encourage our guests to just relax; take tea (or coffee) on the swing over looking Broad Creek. Perhaps a game of giant chess or croquet, horseshoes or bocce, on the lawn. Just take in the peace and enjoy! Take some time for yourself (we won't tell anyone). Go on....spoil yourself and let us spoil you.
Sun Lounge Dining This sunny room, where we serve breakfast, looks out over our marina and Broad Creek. Our breakfasts feature a huge choice of cold foods and our hot dishes are cooked to order according to your taste. Breakfast time is basically up to you but is normally somewhere between 7am and 10am. Coffee is usually ready earlier. If you wish to take a cup out into the yard on the swing, by the creek or back to your room that's just fine. Our sliding glass door leads to a comfortable deck and a great view of the boating activity on Broad Creek. Weather permitting meals can be served there. For the cosy winter evenings we have a fireplace, so come and snuggle in for those cooler winter nights. Jill enjoys cooking dishes that you will enjoy and that hopefully will lure you back to visit us again. Seafood omlettes, smoked salmon dishes and traditional dishes featuring select thick cut bacon are amongst her specialities. She also caters for diets and allergies when required to do so. Evening meals can also be provided. Jill offers a large selection of fine dining choices which she encourages her guests to sample. Although not absolutely necessary, she appreciates a little notice when evening meals are requested. Wine or beer can be served with your evening meal if you wish. " |

"Fishing: Private or Charter - Charter fishing trips can be arranged with any one of the many charter boats operating out of the area. We also have a charter fishing boat running out of our marina, this however, needs to be pre-booked.
Boating: Sail, Power, Kayaking - Learn to sail with one of our local sailing schools here in Deltaville or White Stone. Kayaking rentals are at Porpoise Cove on the Piankatank River. We have special package deals with Virginia School of Sailing, Captain Tom. www.sail-school.com
Hiking and Biking - Bring your hiking shoes and your favourite bike and explore traffic free shaded lanes.
Golf - Several excellent local courses to choose from The Piankatank River Golf Course being the closest. Package deals can be arranged.
Eating out - Deltaville and nearby areas have restaurants for all occasions and every mood: the Boathouse Cafe, The Galley, Taylor's, Toby's, Steamboat Grill at the Piankatank River Golf Club , David's Last Chance, Eckhards. There are also a number of excellent restaurants in Urbanna, White Stone, Irvington and Matthews which are all really easy to reach. A little further out in Kilmarnock, Tappahannock and Gloucester there are several more. Lunch time snacks and sandwiches can be bought at the Sweete Shop in Deltaville as well as Sal's Pizza.
History - Historic Williamsburg, Richmond, our state capital and the exciting Hampton Roads area are all just an hour away. The Hampton Roads area has excellent Museums and shopping. Williamsburg has the Outlet Malls, Williamsburg Pottery and Basketville.
Or just hang-out, relax and read a book......and wile away your day." |
