"The Manor House
The Jewel in the Crown.
That's the way we've always thought of the graceful old manor house on the hill. It was an inspiration and a promise we kept... to ourselves and all our previous guests (now friends) who would walk up the driveway after breakfast and return - sometimes hours later to sit and wonder with us at what it would become.
Top Floor Bedrooms
Wonderful views of the surrounding countryside are also a great feature of the three bedrooms on the top floor. Of course, each room has a fireplace with original mantel. Ancient heart pine floors, under thick oriental rugs lead to private baths with Jacuzzi. Rates range from $185 to $225.

First Floor Common Areas and Dining
These rooms have been crafted - both by the original inhabitants and your innkeepers - to say welcome. The house is alive with personality that extends from its earliest days to the present. Rich with antiques, but with a touch that says relax, you're at home. Triple sash floor to ceiling windows look out onto a porch at the front of the house. The vista from the graceful sweep of the front lawn includes 200 year old boxwoods, stately trees with massive canopies, the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Winter Kitchen Common Area and Bedrooms
The stone-walled lower level of the Vaucluse mansion is at once cozy and spacious. Three bedrooms adjoin a light filled common room, with overstuffed chairs, antique collectibles, and dominated by the original cooking fireplace. Each Winter Kitchen bedroom features a fireplace and private bath with Jacuzzi, stone walls, and is uniquely decorated with warmth and casual relaxation in mind. $140 per night.

"We knew it the moment we saw it. An old mansion - nearly in ruins - rich in one family's history and vacant for decades. The dream of a young artist and his family to build a home on the same ground..... and an ancient limestone spring that must have drawn them to this place as it has drawn us. Here we would recreate a tradition of southern style and service that any resident from over 200 years of its known past would recognize as classic Virginian.
This is the Inn at Vaucluse Spring.
The Inn offers fifteen guest rooms in six different dwellings, all built on one hundred acres; six in the federal style Manor House, four in the Chumley Homeplace, one in the Gallery guest house, one in the restored Millhouse Studio, one in the Cabin by the Pond, and two in the Cottage on the Hill. All rooms feature a fireplace and most have a jacuzzi.
An overnight stay at the Inn includes a delicious three course breakfast each morning. Virtually everything is prepared fresh from scratch and is presented with equal emphasis on pleasing the eye and the palate.
The Inn’s breakfasts received national attention when they were featured in Country Homes Magazine that included nine of our recipes as well as mouth watering photography.
Friday Supper is a casual affair with a ""Southern Comfort"" flavor. Put the week behind you and relax with a glass of wine while you enjoy a seasonal three course meal. Enjoy a crispy salad or summer soup, a hearty gumbo or a lighter summers fare, followed by one of our acclaimed deserts and fresh brewed coffee or tea. It's the perfect beginning to a relaxing weekend.
Saturday night dinner at the inn is a special event. Following the 6:30 social gathering which features sangria or mulled wine and hors' dourves, dinner’s bill of fare is announced by your hosts. Guests are then seated at romantic candlelit tables for two in the elegant manor house dining rooms.
The four course meal features the best the Northern Shenandoah Valley has to offer in seasonal produce, including herbs and watercress from the Inn’s grounds."
