Being previously a Manor House of 1799, the building was originally owned by Lucsanský family. However, since twenties of the last century the premises have been used as the accommodation facility for local as well as foreign guests. Of many noted personalities who have found this location most agreeable because of its repose and calm, atmosphere we shall name just a few here such as the ethnographer Karol Plicka, novelist Jozef Cíger Hronský, publicist and artist Janko Alexy, artist Zoltán Palugyay, Milo Bazovský, Max vábinský, Vladimír Kovár, Ján Cumperlík, Ján Kollár, Gustav Mallý, Ján Mudroch, Radka Mukulová and Mária Medvecká. The Lucs Guesthouse is an ideal place for both, the groups as well as individual holidaymakers, organisers of training sessions, seminars, banquets and social events. Ample downhill skiing opportunities are available with a number of ski-lifts at the villages nearby (Palomka, Pohorelská Maa, Telgárt and Helpa) on slopes provided with snow facilities, suitable for both, the beginners as well as advanced skiers, throughout the winter season.
In summer, the main attractions for tourists are explorer's trails, the trail between Králová Hola and Donovaly being the main artery. Another attraction is Dobinská Ice-Cave.
Accommodation is provided in the Lucs historical premises in double or three bedrooms and one suite, a total capacity including supplements being 52 beds. All rooms are provided with private facilities, a radio set, satellite TV. The guesthouse provides private off street parking for all quests. |
