Mariaville Lake is a 200 acre lake located in western Schenectady County. It is perfect for fishing, swimming, and canoeing. The community has a laid back peaceful vibe but you can be as active as you want and hike or bike. There is plenty of antiquing, shopping, and historical haunts nearby.

Included in your rate is a full breakfast, and use of our dock, canoe, rowboat and hiking trails. We welcome well-behaved children. Pets are not allowed. Our bed and breakfast is non-smoking.

Check in time is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. unless other arrangements are made. We plan our day around your arrival time so please call us from the road if you need directions or your arrival time changes. Check out time is 11:00 AM.

Please let us know of any food restrictions or allergies BEFORE you arrive. We cannot accommodate special needs if you tell us as we are about to serve breakfast.

A deposit of 50% is required by credit card or check in advance of your stay and will be refunded if notice of cancellation is received more than 14 days in advance of your stay minus a $25 cancellation fee. If notice is fewer than 14 days, your deposit is refundable only if we can rebook the room. There is a two night minimum on certain week-ends. Call for details.

While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.

Rick and Lorrie Runnels purchased the home in November 2003 and after extensive renovations opened as a bed and breakfast in July 2004. Our common rooms offer cable TV, wireless, and games. Our gorgeous lawns offer a place to play and relax.

We offer five unique guest rooms; each filled with antiques, and all with queen beds, private bath and view of the lake. Most of the rooms have hardwood floors and original moldings. There are two marble fireplaces. The Lakeview and Vineyard Room are located in the oldest part of the house and open with skeleton keys. The Colonial Room occupies the former upstairs porch and the Country Room boasts DirectTV, mini fridge, and extra twin bed. The Suite has a living room with morning bar, bedroom, and full bath.

Breakfast is an unrushed event, served from 8:00-9:30 in our formal dining room or on our three season glassed in porch. Whenever possible we use local or organic ingredients and are always happy to accommodate a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle.

On our serving table you will find:

* Some goodies such as cobbler, scones, or cinnamon buns, always homemade

A different hot entrée is prepared every morning. It may be Banana Stuffed French Toast with real maple syrup, Veggie Frittata, or Puffed Apple Pancakes. . Add bacon or sausage and cracked wheat bread from a nearby bakery to complete your meal.
