All of our guest suites have a Queen Bed, Private Bath, and sitting area for reading or relaxing. All are on the 2nd floor, except the Dorris Ann and Donna Von.

Common Areas of the inn are areas shared by all guests. You can find a private corner to read and relax, take a quiet walk on the grounds, or just sit visit with other guests.

Around the rooms, you will find special artifacts and pictures detailing the history of the Chilhowee Inn, Walland, and original artwork of the Smoky Mountains. Four French doors open onto the spacious front porch, where you can sit in a rocking chair and experience the beauty of the river during a mountain sunset.

The large Foyer provides guests an additional area to sit, relax, or visit. This is the main entrance to the inn. Decorated in Victorian, with replica Gas Light fixtures of that era. The Family Room is a place where guests can relax, visit, or curl up with a good book by the fireplace.

There are auto tour routes, hiking trails, bicycle trails, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and nature trails for leisurely strolls. You can visit the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center and Museum, and the Little River Railroad Museum in Townsend, and The Great Smoky Mountain Institute at Tremont.

Take a scenic 35 minute drive along the beautiful Little River Road to Gatlinburg, where you will find fine restaurants, shopping, the aquarium, the arts and crafts community, and winter skiing and ice skating. Just up from Gatlinburg is Pigeon forge with music theaters, outlet malls, and Dollywood.
