The beautiful beaches of Ogunquit's 3 mile sand dune beach, the beaches of Cape Neddick and York are all within minutes from each other. Activities in the area are endless with distinctive shops, galleries, dozens of antiquing shops, tourist attractions, activities, festivals and special seasonal events. The Marginal Way Cliff Walk along the Atlantic Ocean is not to be missed and Perkins Cove is a tiny seacost harbor offering boat rides, whale watch cruises, lobstering trips, cocktail cruises, scooner sailing, deep sea fishing and dozens of specialty shops to explore and restaurants to enjoy. Live theater is popular with the area hosting four summer theaters, the Ogunqiut Playhouse, the Arundal Barn Theater, the Hackmatack Playhouse, and Booth Theater. Activities enjoyed for the sports minded include horseback riding, biking on back country roads, kayaking Tours down the York River, guided fishing trips, including fly fishing, scuba diving at the Nubble Lighhouse, and balooning in Portland. And don't forget the many museums in the area and art galleries to enjoy. For the family there are two amazing water parks, two amusement parks, and York's Wild Animal Kingdom, as well as several miniature golf spots, two archades and 100 outlets to shop in Kittery.
