* No pets or smoking inside. Smoking permitted in designated areas, including verandas.

* No loud or disturbing behavior. Drinking of alcohol is permitted, in moderation please.

* Children are permitted if they are attended by an adult, & their behavior is tolerable.

* Main House doors must be locked by guests at night. East House doors must be locked by guests always.

* Check in after 3pm (Eastern), check out before 11am. Exceptions may be made with management permission & may be charged $10 per hour. Check outs after 5pm may be subject to an additional night's charge.

* Lost key: $15 charge.

* Guests may be charged for any damages or losses to our properties. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. We are not responsible for injuries, or loss of possessions. Please be careful, & lock your doors when leaving.

* Reservations must be confirmed with a major credit card.

* Our cancellation policy: 7 days advance notice for weekend reservations, 48 hours for weekdays to receive a full refund.

The Villa
Located 50 yards from our Main House is The Villa, built in 1911 by the Marks family. Renovated in 1998, it has 8 guest rooms, a 1 bedroom apartment (with kitchen), meeting room and gazebo. This house is where you will find the honeymoon suite "11 Heaven" & room 17, both with massage whirlpools. All of our guest rooms have their own private bath, telephone and cable TV with remote. In the back yard is Camellia Hall for weddings, reception & meetings . The rich decor features antique accents, a piano, and French doors. Out in the lush yard is our lovely Gazebo, the site of many gorgeous weddings.

TheVeranda Suites
Our newest addition is right next door to the Mansion. Opened April 1, four new luxurious Veranda Suites, with Jacuzzi tubs, private parlors, kitchenettes, and individual verandas. The perfect getaway summer retreat for weekly or multiple day rentals.

This was built by Mr. Coombs as 2 apartments for other members of his family.

Each of the distinctively decorated guest rooms has its own full bath, telephone and remote control cable television.

All rooms have private bath, remote control cable television, and telephone with computer/data port & free local calls. They also have ceiling fans & double paned glass for sound insulation. For long distance calls, you may use a credit card, but we recommend for better rates to use a calling card. Cell phone signals here are unpredictable.

Rooms 8, 11, 17 & 20 have massage whirlpools and mini refrigerators.

Rooms 4, 7, & 9 have a room door to the veranda.

For the handicapped, rooms 4 & 14 have particular amenities, other rooms are accessible.

We offer free Wi-Fi High Speed Wireless Internet access at The Mansion. Requires laptop computer (or similar device) with wireless capability.

Located behind the Coombs House East is Camellia Hall, our meeting hall for groups and social events. At 840 square feet (23 x 36'), it can seat 60 people comfortably. It has a kitchenette sink, coffee maker, piano, hutch, bathroom, 3 ceiling fans & central cool/heat. The decor features forest green carpet, pastel yellow painted walls, and tropical print drapes. The 6 French doors offer plenty of light and open to the wood deck and shaded back lawn with Gazebo. If you wish to extend your event outdoors, this area could be set up with tables and chairs under tents (rentals available nearby). You have complimentary use of our 8 folding tables & 70 indoor padded chairs. We have four 54" round tables (6-7 chairs) & four 8' rectangular tables (8-10 chairs). We do not provide table cloths, you need to get 72" for the rounds & 110" for the rectangulars. Camellia Hall rents for $350-450 per day for large events or $50 per hour ($100 minimum) for small groups (+ 8% tax). Clean up is responsibility of renter or caterer, or extra charge may occur. Local catering available.

The Inn consists of The Mansion and Veranda Suites (1905), and The Villa (1911). The Inns are filled with antiques, oil paintings and oriental carpets from all over the world. We have 13 decorative original fireplaces and 23 bathrooms.

The 1905 Coombs Inn is a three-story mansion that features high ceilings, nine fireplaces and antique furniture of the period. Guests arrive through a 4 foot wide front door into the lofty wood-paneled entrance hall where an ornate oak staircase curves upward past leaded glass windows. Paintings and historical photographs compliment the Victorian decor. Imported English chintz draperies frame large bay windows, and oriental carpets splash color on gleaming hardwood floors.

The Inn's beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels are available for the beautiful beaches of Saint George Island. Guests enjoy free use of our bicycles to cruise around town (we even have a tandem). For those who want to stay active, try fishing, sailing, or a canoe trip to the barrier islands. For those who have come to relax, a rocking chair or porch swing under a ceiling fan awaits you on the upper or lower veranda.
