The meticulously restored bed and breakfast mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places and is in the Historic District of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The Pittsfield Historic District is filled with stately homes and is a wonderful place to take a stroll.

The Thaddeus Clapp House Bed and Breakfast is within walking distance of the Berkshire Museum and the magnificent Colonial Theatre, which is under restoration, The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, art galleries and antique shops. Tanglewood, The Mount, The Herman Melville House, Jacob's Pillow, The Williamstown Playhouse, MASSMOCA and the Prime Outlets Mall are just a few miles away. There are ski resorts, hiking and biking trails; and lake and boating recreation areas….all within the Pittsfield city limits.

The guest suites are very spacious and luxurious. Each bed and breakfast suite has a formal living or sitting room, a fireplace and private bath with whirlpool or soaking tub, both with rain water showers. Period furniture and hand made oriental carpets are in each guest suite.

The innkeepers prepare a full breakfast each morning. Enjoy afternoon tea on the historic front porch or in the inn's restored drawing room.
