" Our log lodges and the oldest llama trekking company in North Carolina are set in a peaceful and secluded 270-acre cove of wilderness mountain land. There are woodland hiking trails, llama-scaped pastures, and meandering streams sheltering a complete watershed. Three contemporary log buildings contain our nine spacious guest accommodations with a choice of many exotic, international decors.

WindDancers is a great setting for a romantic rendezvous. Walls of windows in each room reveal the breathtaking mountain views. The bright, colorful rooms have high beamed ceilings, tubs for two with separate showers, fireplaces, comfortable sitting areas with VCR's and abundant ceiling fans. Each room has a large deck complete with the required log rocking chairs. In the distance you can view nine ridges of the Smoky Mountains and up close you can see our llama herds in the surrounding pastures.

We are an ideal setting for groups. Whether it's a family reunion, small business meeting or holiday celebration, WindDancers will provide a peaceful and beautiful setting. It is a great place to generate ideas and energy. Gather with friends and family to have a great and relaxing time.

Traverse the world's oldest mountain range in the company of the oldest domesticated animal, the llama. Experience the diversity of these highlands filled with creeks, falls, a vast array of birds, butterflies, flora and fauna. Hiking with llamas will add a whole new dimension and a fresh perspective to your wilderness experience. Llamas are gentle, sure-footed creatures that make wonderful hiking companions. Because of the llama's unique qualities, you can reach and enjoy the most beautiful areas of wilderness while preserving them for those who follow. Our trips give you an opportunity to lead, touch, and become friends with these intelligent and tranquil creatures.
