"Our Queen Anne Victorian inn was built in 1890 by Edward Sinclair. Edward, a wood craftsman and building contractor, built the home for his bride-to-be, Ruth. At the time Edward was in his early 30s and Ruth just16.
The home was converted into a bed and breakfast in the late 1980's when Jane and Scott Smith purchased the home. Over the next15 years the property underwent extensive restoration and renovation. Because the house has been welcoming the public for so many years, it's condition is immaculate. Original crown moldings, fret work, hardwood flooring, wainscot and stained glass windows have all been preserved. New period wallpapers, fringe lamps, and antique furnishings complement the oriental rugs throughout the house. The living room and fireplace beckon you to relax and curl up with a good book and then to bed between freshly ironed sheets.
Innkeeper / Owners, Sally & Bruce would love to welcome you with warm homemade cookies, a complementary glass of wine or some local Vermont apple cider. Come see why they love their Green Mountain state.
Outside the inn you will find expansive perennial gardens throughout the large property. Meander your way to the stone pond and cascading waterfall to the back of the gardens overlooking The Creek and the Green Mountains. Pull up an Adirondack chair and enjoy the view! Borrow our barbeque kit if you would like an al fresco feast in the evening. "
