The Inn at Manchester is a historic bed and breakfast and carriage house offering lodging accommodations in Manchester, VT. The Inn is located on four acres of lawns and gardens in quaint Manchester Village nestled in a valley between Southern Vermont’s Taconic and Green Mountains. The Manchester area has a little something for everyone to enjoy from outdoor activities to wonderful dining and much more. Nearby Manchester Center is home to a wide variety of specialty shops, retail stores, outlets and factory shops.

Reservations:

An advance deposit is required upon booking your reservation. For special events and holiday periods, full-prepayment is requested.

Check-in time is from 3:00 pm - 9:30 pm.
Please call if you will be arriving later than this. We'll be happy to discuss options for late arrivals.

Check-out time is 11:00 am.

Cancellations & Deposits:

If you cancel your reservation 14 days or more days prior to your scheduled arrival date we will return your deposit, less a $25.00 handling fee. For holiday periods, foliage and large groups, we require 30 days cancellation notice.

In the event that you cancel your reservation(s) outside of the cancellation period noted above, we will refund your payment, less the cancellation fee, only if we are able to re-rent your room -- and we will try! However, if we are unsuccessful in re-renting your room, we will keep your deposit.

In the case of on-arrival or departure prior to your scheduled check-out date, you are still responsible for your entire reservation and will be charged. If we are successful in re-booking your room you will not be charged for the nights the room is re-rented.

The Inn at Manchester has a full liquor license, which by Vermont law prohibits guests from bringing alcoholic beverages purchased from another location to be consumed on our property.

Please note that according to Vermont Law, our Inn is non-smoking. If it is found that a room has been smoked in, a $100 cleaning fee will be charged.

Please note, the inn is unsuitable for children younger than 13 years old.

We have 18 guestrooms, including 5 suites, which span three floors of the prominent main building plus the historic Carriage House. Our Manchester, Vermont bed and breakfast is situated on four lovely acres of lawns and gardens and a meandering brook. Nestled in a valley between the Taconic and Green Mountains, we offer a country atmosphere with in-town convenience. Wonderful views of the mountains can be enjoyed in season while you're relaxing by our pool or watching the world go by on the front porch.

Beneath the first floor's high ceilings you'll find places to relax and visit -like the cheerful living room and friendly pub, or travel further into the inn and feel tucked away in our cozy Red Room. Guests also gather in our airy dining room, which is also located on the first floor.

In season our classic front porch beckons with comfy seating, perfect for watching the world go by. Or, sneak off to one of the hammocks and rock any residual stresses away.

The outdoor pool is another popular summer relaxation spot and the gardens add soothing splashes of color throughout our grounds.

Plus, Orvis, the renowned fly fishing authority, is located just across the road.

Nearby lakes for fishing (and swimming and picnicking!) include Emerald Lake in E. Dorset and larger lake St. Catherine in Wells.

Hiking trails abound in the area with portions of the Long Trail and many wonderful local hikes meandering through the woods and fields in and around Manchester.

Additionally, Merck Forest and farmland Center in nearby Rupert provides more than 2,500 acres of hiking suited for serious trampers, families and walkers of all ages.

The Green Mountains offer spectacular views from every hole. We can make tee times on behalf of our guests at any of the following courses.
