Newport House Bed and Breakfast hosts Colonial Dancing (known as English Country Dancing) on Tuesdays year round from 8 to 10 pm. (generally not in Colonial clothes). Guests may watch or participate if they like (beginners welcome). We can arrange (with a few days' advance notice) for our guests to rent Colonial clothing, either for their entire stay or simply to go out to dinner at one of the Colonial taverns.

You are free to play our harpsichord or other musical instruments if they are not otherwise in use. Guests are also welcome to use our elegant living room, which contains a fireplace, or stroll through our gardens of flowers, herb, fruit and pecan trees. There are films available for viewing in our extensive video library of classics from the 18th century -- a good way to spend a rainy day.

A full breakfast usually includes delicious dishes made from authentic Colonial recipes with fruit and honey from our garden.
