"In years past, a Country Inn served as a refuge from the rigors of everyday life. More than just providing a room to spend a night, the Inn was a destination where a person could collect one's thoughts, achieve some sense of inner peace, and enjoy the good food and hospitality that were the pride of the innkeeper. Jamieson House, a stately home located in the rural community of Poynette, Wisconsin, faithfully recreates the essence of a Country Inn.
Set amidst an acre of patios, flowers, and trees is the former home of Hugh Jamieson.
In keeping with a 19th century Country Inn, Jamieson House is adroitly decorated with antiques and quality reproductions. Since its current guest were born in this century and not in the last, the Inn strives to provide 21st century comforts.

Conservatory Dining or Meeting Room
A room designed with a feeling of being on a patio. Floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the room. The conservatory can easily accommodate up to forty people and breakfast is served there daily.

Lower Level Dining or Meeting Room
This area is located in the lower level and was formerly used as a fine dining restaurant. Entry available from stairs outside. Large area for many occasions. This space has a feeling of being in a european restaurant tucked away on a charming side street. Seating capacity of fifty.

Formal Dining or Meeting Room
The well-appointed formal dining room, with its massive wooden table, is suited for dinner parties and provides a wonderful venue for small off-site meetings for up to ten guests.

North Parlor Meeting Room
Feel like you are in grandma's warm and inviting living room. Seating available for ten.

South Parlor Meeting Room
Just enough room for an intimate gathering. Seating available for ten.

Board Room
Large room for executive style meetings. Seating available for twelve."

"The Jamieson House Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Wisconsin's playground.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Inn is only six miles from Lake Wisconsin with its swimming, boating, and fishing. The nearby McKenzie Environmental Center affords leisurely self-guided walks through several Wisconsin ecosystems and Rowan Creek, one of the state's best trout streams, runs right through town. Canoeing, horseback riding, golfing, and bicycling are all readily accessible. Downhill or cross country ski at Cascade or Devils Head during the winter.

Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo, with its Circus World Museum and the International Crane Foundation, are a relaxing drive away. Madison, the state capitol, is only a 25 mile drive with art galleries, museums, and specialty shops. Visit the winery in Prairie du Sac, poke through the flea markets and antique stores located in many of the surrounding towns, or explore the nearby Amish community with its many shops.

For gaming action, a short drive will take you to the tables at Ho Chunk Casino."
