| The HOBART HISTORIC WALK is the iconic must-do tour of the city; all about the famous sandstone buidlings, fine Town Hall, St.David's Cathedral & Park, Treasury & Old Gaol, Salamanca, whaling & convicts. Daily Tue - Sat at 3pm and Sundays at 9.30am. The OLD HOBART PUB TOUR is about brothels, smuggling, and shady waterfront doings, great fun. Stops in two pubs (drinks at own expense, optional). Tue, Wed, Thu & Sat at 5pm. The BATTERY POINT WALK has tiny cottages, grand homes, Arthur's Circle & St. George's. Stops at Shipwright's Arms for optional drink; stories of famous characters inc. Chaplian Knopwood & the enigmatic Truganini. Fridays at 5pm. All torus are 1 1 /2 hrs, easy walking. (Pub Tour not recommended for children.) |
